IT return under salary

As Mr. X is not having any Salary certificate etc, better show this Income from Other sources for ay 10-11 in ITR1.

For ay 9-10 show the same in ITR 2 under Income from other sources, in the column 'Others' (in Schedule OS, col 1d to be specific).

In ay 9-10, in ITR 1, the head "income from other sources" had no provision of showing income other than Interest and family pension. But in ay 10-11, this short coming has been completely removed and now their is only one head 'Income from Other Sources'. Therefore fill ITR 2 for ay 9-10 and ITR 1 for ay 10-11.

If Mr. X does not have any other source of income or deduction under chapter VI-A, no other document is reqd.

MR X HAS TO FILE ITR I AND SHOW HIS INCOME UNDER HEAD SALARY

AS HE EARNED THIS INCOME FROM EMPLOYER EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP

AND AS THERE IS NO NEED TO ATTACH ANY DOCUMENT WITH ITR AND THERE IS NO COLUMN IN ITR WHERE U HAVE TO SHOW THIS INCOME COME VIA CHEQUE OR CASH

SO, U MUST FILE HIS RETURN OR HE MUST FILE HIS OWN RETURN THROUGH ITR I
