Total receipt for the period FY 2011-12 is more than 15 lakhs.
He is maintaining all the records.
His TDS and Advance tax payment is more than tax liability and he has to get the refund.
He has not filed the return till now.
Can he file the return now.?
if yes what are the implications.?
Yes .. you can file IT return for AY 12-13 till 31.03.2014

Agree but it will be considered as belated return, so file this return with due care as you will not be allowed to revise the return if you did some mistake in the return.
since tax audit is applicable for the assessee, is there any problem in filing belated return.?
No problem in this case but make sure you conduct tax audit and get it signed and put the date as 30.9.12 on the Audit report. Submit the same during filing of the returns.
