Is it wise to purchase or should i wait?

My IPCC attempt is in November, And I want to buy DS Rawat book for Acc. Standard. My sir says that they are going to follow something called IND-AS and not merely AS from 31st March 2012. And he also said that according to the rule any change in syllabus prior to 6 months from exam is included in the portion. So should I wait for the new edition of the book? I will get my study module after 2-3 weeks, so will they have IND-AS?

Also is DS Rawat book good, is there any better book?

Please Guide me.

ICAI has already officially announced that IndAS and Revised Schedule VI are not applicable for PCC/IPCC/Final May 2012 exams. So no need to wait for revised book and you can buy DS Rawat now, if you wish. In my view, AS problems given in module, practice manuals and compilation are more than sufficient to solve AS in exams. All these are available for download in icai site. All the best.

@ Krishna-My attempt is in November not May, thats why the issue...so Ind-As will be applicable to November exam?

I think you people did not get my problem...Do we have Ind-AS for november 2012 IPCC exam,If yes does DS Rawat have IND-AS in their book?

You should not purchase the D.S.Rawat and Ind AS is not applicable for your exam because ministry of corporate affairs only notified the Ind AS but the applicability date is not announced till yet and you dont need to worry just focus on your study forgot these kind of market hype just study from Study mat or your any reference book.
