Is CS training Compulsory ?

with out traing u willl be callled LCS

i m asking about Training under CS & not abt Computer training 

if u dont undergo training after CS, u can apply for LCS. It is applicable now also. If u dont undergo CS training, u cant become a member of ICSI and cant exercise the statutory powers available to a CS in case u enter in secreterial line after completing ur CA and CS. Using LCS, u cant get any additional benefit and all. It is just an identity that u have finished CS final.

yes Sreev is right..even vineet sodhani is LCS..but u can seek training would be beneficial..but prince jain of 2007 ca final is  is ACS...

 I want to know whether Student Induction Programme of ICSI before CS (Executive) Exams is compulsory or  is there any provision for exempition from that. Please Note that I am Chartered Accountant.

LCS stands for Licentiate Company Secretary...

That you have to apply within 6 months of the declaration of your CS Final results..

Application form can be downloaded in www.icsi.edu and can be submitted at inst along with a fee of Rs. 1000/-

LCS is Licentiate Company Secretary.

After completing CS Final one can apply for the same, if d person doesnt wish to undergo practical training. 

But what are the benefits of being LCS ?

a Licentiate member can niether be appointed as Company Secretary under section 383, nor he can give any report/ certificate like compliance certificate, annual report signing, annual ROC forms certification,etc.

The only benefit is that he can represent himself as a member of ICSI ( whether Associate, Fellow, or Licentiate). further an LCS can be allowed to meet ROC and other officials on production of LCS membership card.
