I have received an intimation u/s 143 (1), in which thr is a difference as per income computed by cpc. I think the difference is for depreciation. But i hv checked my return, all the schedules were properly filled. Moreover they have determined tax payable without giving me credit for self assessment tax which i already paid and entered correctly in my return form. What should i do now? should i file same xml for rectification?
You should file an application u/s 154 online. It requires all the details & yes also the xml file of the return.
you can upload rectification error u/s.143(1) with details of self assessment tax paid. on direct e-filling site.as a same incometax return data..................

You should Check in 26AS as the self assessment deposited is shown or not and then file rectification
