Inquiry about ipc

Hey all ! Am a 2nd yr commerce student . . I want to take up CA as soon as my B.com is over. . Somewhere i have heard tht we have to write CPT even if we want to take up CA aftr completing B.com. . Is tht true ? Juz now i have checked ICAI website. . I dint find any info regardin this. . Waitin fo your reply guyz
