Hi,
I filed my tax return for this year on ITR-2. However, in the "Designation of Assessing officer" section, I mentioned an incorrect AO.
Will this create any problem? If so, what is the procedure to correct it?

Wrong AO mentioning in the itr 2 will not cause a big problem. well u have to intimate the jurisdicationary income tax deptt. abt this through a simple application.

i think , I.T DEPARTMENT SORT OUT RETURNS BY AREA AND BECAUSE OF IT IS COMPUTERISED IT NOT CREATES MUCH PROBLEM. I THINK YOU DONT WANT TO RECTIFY THAT MISTAKE.
