simple write a letter to income tax department also enclose old cheque , keep photostate of cheque with u for proff

You may request  to get the same cheque revalidated and then and there you can deposit into the Bank a/c. It is very simple and not write a letter and no need to get a fresh cheque.

Please write a letter stating your problem addressed to TheAssessing Officer in the jurisdiction in which the return has been filed along with a photocopy of the cheque.

Please write a letter to the Assessing Officer of your Jurisdiction, enclosing outdated cheque, request to issue a fresh refund voucher.
