AS WE KNOW THAT IF TRUCK OWNER PROVIDES FORM -15I , WE DONT DEDUCT TDS AT THE TIME OF MAKING PAYMENT TO THAT PARTICULAR TRUCK OWNER
MY QUERY IS THAT FORM 15-I IS EVEN APPLICABLE FOR THE F.Y.2009-2010 OR NOT ,IF APPLICABLE THEN UPTO WHAT PERIOD, IS IT UPTO 30.09.09 OR 31.03.2010

This form is redundent now (from 1-10-2009) as the new ammedment in Section 194C provides that any goods transport operator is eligible for zero rate of TDS provided he provides his PAN number to the customer.
Form 15I was applicable to persons owing 2 vehicals only.
