Take a pencil or highlighter and mark important concept and also try to recall some words from the paragraph which u read. Take 1 minute rest for thinking what i learn in last 10 minute. And if possible try to note them. In practical question dont try to learn new things and just practice more. Thanks

if you revise the chapter again and again then you will see that it will take lesser time to complete the chapter now than before and you will have grip over the chapter very quickly, so if you are forgetting the answers then revise the chapter everytime..it wont take much time if you are repeating the chapter.
