I want to know if anybody has undergone IFRS training. I am confused as to from where to get the training. ICAI/Piron/KPNG NIIT/Deloitte and even some CA coaching centres have started IFRS training fo qualified CAs.
Which is the best at the moment.

A noida based IFRS consultancy "Rhapsody Accounting and Advisory Services" has started a IFRS certification course for qualified CA/CS/ CWA and CA/CS/ CWA students. The course duration is 40 hours of live classroom training. The course material is based on the practical experience of the faculty and provides guidance on practical implementation of IFRS rather than theoritical knowledge only. Introductory course fee is Rs. 14,400 + taxes (including study material and lunch/snacks) only for qualified CA/CS/CWA.

As you all are aware that IFRS in India are applicable from 1 April 2011 per criteria as mentioned above, there will be a huge demand for IFRS professionals as soon as the companies and CA firms gets free from the Tax audit timelines i.e. 30 sep 2010.

I have undergone IFRS training through Piron Education(lectures on video) for 80 hours and successfully completed IFRS Diploma from ACCA,UK. I found the entire training sessions quite exhaustive and covers the entire Diploma course in depth. The fees for the course is approx Rs 45,000/- including examination fees.

Some big-4 firms also do that, I believe. You can also try out Mr Bhave's training programme (he has practical experience of implementation in India and abroad). He conducts it in the name of ConsultIFRS which is gold parter for Diploma course on IFRS from ACCA, London. The classes are conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune. The total cost should be around 35K including diploma course fees. I am also planning to do this course after completing 2 years practical experience eligibility criteria. Articleship is counted for this 2 years period.

Myself CA, CMA and when I joined one IFRS class I.e Bhave (consultifrs) Pathetic teaching.
Wastage of money and time there.
I joined other online classes (IFRS BOX). It's really good one.
Please dnt join Consultifrs class (bhave) . Wastage of money. Pathetic teaching. Not cllovering full standard. Only exam point of view.
Better join online learning course like Ifrs box or pironeducation.
