Hello everyone,
Can anyone please guide me on how to prepare individual services for may 2013? For example, I m following Bangar and there are around 21 services with each having heading like definition, negative list, etc. Do you prepare all of them? Also which are more important? Generally how many marks come from these?

Well ,,,,I am giving reading to all services so that I come to know the overview of all topics.
Anything left in this portion may trouble in fetching passing marks in IDT...............Service Tax almost covers 30 marks in IDT.
For getting gud marks in numerical portion, u must be well versed with all Negative List Services, Declared List, Abatements, Mega Exemption...............
Be at ur safer side.......................
Read Following:
1. Case Laws ( approx. 80-100 covered by ICAI-----Nov. 2012 + May 2013 )
2. Amendments ( For May Exam 2013, it covers a huge portion of Service tax)
3. Practice Manual ( Personally, I never suggest to read Practice manual of IDT at all because ICAI Practice manual are not updated or revised )
4. RTP (latest) Numerical Problems ( For this, U must have read and understand each and every provision)
5. Entire Service Tax Book (must for May 2013 Exam )
