Read Bangar twice..

Ya! I am doing from Bangar but still finding a bit difficult to understand case laws

Prepare 1 table. It helpful for revision and save time while u doing revisions. Column name as case law name, facts, result. In facts column juz write in 1 or 2 words(important word in dat case law in such a way that it should recall entire facts of the case day b4 the exam). In 3rd column point out the result whether in favour of the assessee or department etc. U can increase column according to ur comfortability. Along with bangar, also refer icai's case law book. Keep on recall name of the case law with some ideas. Some mite wil be in name of ur friends etc. Like this.

If u r asking for tom's exam then its nt possible. The above idea is for Nov'14 or onwards

And for remembering effective dates..for instance w.e .f 1.06.2009. Read it as 169 to remember. Like this creat urself in a innovative way to remember the stuffs in DT n IDT. If u write effective dates it gives value addition and can fetch more marks.

Case laws given in bangar books are all reqd to be memorised?

70% required. Say in 1st chapter excise..vazir sultan, kapri international ltd. Yes its required..depends on quality of the issues and questions. And for recent ones which are nt given in icai case book are nt required. Just remember the issue n leave that. It simple to remember many cases. Read Per day 5 to 6 cases . Make it as ur routine else at end sure u wud start to live with tense.

For example are case laws given in box are reqd to learn?

In box they given means althose are recent ones. Yes u must but only those which are in ICAI case law book. Rest nt required. I mean some times they give recent one which are nt given in icai book. So these thngs are nt required. Listen try to remember al effective dates as i shown u the trick. By this In ipcc i have got 70+ in taxation.

@ prerna no need to learb the case laws! i read interview of a studnt who got 85 marks in idt nd she said she didnt write any name of the case

@ manik ..did u ask her In which year she has passed..?those days are gone. Juz 4 attempts back case law book contained juz 10 to 16 cases. And juz see nw. And have u seen Nov'13 DT PAPER. Mrthan 60 marks were contains old issues with old cases. Some times they ask like dis n some times juz for 10 marks.

nov 13 attempt studnt her name is shweta goyal roll:- 166016. m not taking about case studies! m taking abt names of the case studies! by the way tum bhi exam de rhe ho? ya sirf advice?
