Yes , direct entry  to A'ship is not at all acceptable......agreed , because it will create some partiality in two students pursuing IPCC- one is graduate and other not.

I support with ur statement because 1 ) IF a student of non commerce graduate can enter in IPCC so without having any basic knowledge how can he become CA ?

2) By comparing with CPT syllabus to Graduation there is a lot of difference is there

i think it is a money minded decision by ICAI

" THE FIRST DUTY OF A UNIVERSITY IS TO TEACH WISDOM ,NOT TRADE; CHARACTER , NOT THECHNICALITIES  "                                                          - winston churchill

Absolutely. Even look at the criteria set there. Do you think scoring 55% in graduation is equal to scoring 100 in cpt?

Absolutely agree... This is just a shrewd planning of members to get very cheap labours (Article assistants) for their firms. When CPT system was introduced there was large crowd of articles available to serve CA's as one had to start articleship just after passing CPT. And now when they changed the system and only after clearing IPCC 1st group one can serve as an article there is huge shortage of articles in the market. This is just a move to provide CA firms with enough articles @ Rs.1000 per month.

absolutely true...ICAI just ewants their needs met, not the overall betterment

i too agree actually in 2007 icai introduced method of ca course, that the articles should go immediatly after cpt, so there the student may not at all have knowledge and suffer a lot from seniors... HOW EVER THE ARTICLES AFTER IPCC FIRST GROUP AT PRESENT IS GOOD

now again direct entry to articles is not good
