How was today's PCC-IPCC accounts???

Dear all,

please help me regarding May,10 A/c paper QN. 3 ELECTRICITY COMPANY.

In this question IN PLACE OF COST OF INTANGIBLE ASSETS,

MONTHLY AVG. OF INTANGIBLE ASSETS IS GIVEN, WHICH, I THINK,  IS PURELY A MISTAKE.

Every person i met, solved this question without considering the MONTHLY AVG.. & they reached the right answer.

BUT i solved this question(as question says MONTHLY AVG. ) by considering it as a monthly avg. & multiplying this by 12, & due to this my whole question resulted in Negative Reasonable Return, i.e. NO ANSWER.

PLEASE HELP ME. I HAVE JUST FOLLOWED THE LANGUAGE.
 PLEASE COMMENT, I AM VERY UPSET & WAITING FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS/ COMMENTS.

intangible assets figure shud be taken as it is given in d ques

Mistake in Electricity taken as (average of intangible assets, very confusing point)

It should be original cost of intangible asset that means monthly average x 12 that cost.....

 i e1 hv done da same thng n gone thru language f term :( i hope we get marks :(!   ill definately mail  icai to consider da same...... OR MAY B we r ryt....thy would hv done ths deliberatly... to chk da presence f mind :p wssay ??

Yes Nitesh, if was disappointed too, it takes me 15 minutes on single point

i think u hav'nt prepared the Asset account !!!

the asset purchased was 522000.

todays paper was very easy
 

i think its a lesson taught by icai to all d students that its not just any examination(or course for that matter) and you hav to MASTER your subjects  especially accounts

this paper was least expected 

i relied heavily on  Banking, HP, single entry, NPO and amalgamation and reconstruction( not to forget those 5-6 small chapters of bonus,underwriting, esop,etc)

was expectin to score exemption and now ..........
