I had deposited DD to builder's account on 30th june but the amount was credited to builder's account on 5th July.
do I still have to pay GST?

No....... get the receipt as of the date on which cheque deposited.
I really doubt if builder will give it. for previous payments, he had given the receipt on the day when we had given him cheque.
