water other than in sealed container is exempted.

@ Nejlo

But what about the Transport service by Tanker, will it come under GST or not??

Comes under gst but charged at 0% rate

what is GST rate for Loose Water ?

I suppose, Water in Tanker is from well/bore well ie. it is 'Natural Water' (HSN 22011010, 22011020). Hence it attracts 18% GST as in https://cleartax.in/s/water-mineral-aerated-gst-rate-hsn-code.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.

2201 - Water [other than aerated, mineral, purified, distilled, medicinal, ionic, battery, de-mineralized and water sold in sealed container] - NIL NIL .This includes well water, borewell water.

Supply of water is exempted ,as natural water falls under the negative list, but as supply of water is a service nd it involves freight then the supply will Fall under GTA category, if no freight just fixed rent or hire chrages then gst nmaust be charged.

If a Government Department Gives a Contract to Supply Water in the month of June to Aug For Rs 57 Lacs through Tanker, Will GST Apply. and Whether to Deduct TDS U/s 51 after June

Hi,

The transportation of water is not a GTA service. Water other than bottled water is exempted. Even if the transportation is treated as a separate service, though nothing is charged separately, the transport of goods by road transport other than courier and GTA is an exempted service. Supply of water in tanker by your client is not taxable and hence no question of deducting TDS.

what gst percentage include in water tank please provide me....

Supply of water is exempted from GST as per exemption notification. However, purified water is excluded from the said notification, and hence it will then be taxable.

Therefore, supply of purified water is Taxable whereas supply of unpurified water is exempted.

(Purified means any process applied to purify the raw water taken from lakes/borewell etc.)
