Dear Sir/Madam,
I had purchased a property in 2016 and under the agreement i am supposed to pay 45% (app 27 lakhs) of BSP on completion of 18 months which is October 2017. In April 2017 i pre-paid the amount of 17lakhs. Now the builder has raised the demand of 27 Lakhs and calculated the GST on this amount and has then reduced the 17Lakhs to calculate the balance payable amount.
My Query is : Is this a government directive to calculate the GST amount on total amount pending at completion of 18months or he should should first adjust the advance of 17lakhs from 27lakhs and then calculate the GST of remaining 10Lakhs.
