Hi,

I'm interested in pursuing CA and am quite glad to have stumbled upon this site at the right time. I'm 22 years old, recently have graduated  in Mechanical engg.(B.Tech) and currently working in a steel firm. I was wondering if I'm eligible for CA considering my engineering background...  How to start off from here? I've learned that I've to appear CPT exams in the beginning. However, any kind of help, suggestions or advices regarding the same will be greatly appreciated.

Besides, I would also like to know your opinions if this would be any good at all. Engineering and then CA?!

Thank you. :)

Yes it is right that First gate is CPT to CA but recent notification exemted the graduates students from appearing in CPT.They will directly go to intermediate course i.e.IPCC.But why don't you do MBA from a reputed college. That will be more beneficial to you in my views......

Thanks for your reply. I'm weighing my options (MBA and CA) at the moment and haven't figured out what I need to do. I could go for MBA as well. I did my graduation from a reputed college and seeking to have a year or 2 as job experience added to my profile before I make a firm decision.
