im following girish ahuja's book for direct taxes...it is the 13 module set...it is better than even vinod gupta...this is my personal opinion....
the book is very apt for ca final and gives a sense of completion....modules make it look it easy.....
im luving it...

I suggest only PADUKA for DT....
Best Book in every aspects... no other writer can explain DT in such a little diet... 100% coverage of syllb n also past exams n recent case laws, n notification, circulars everything...

Hi Priya niether manoharan nor Ahuja or padhuks. For Exams Only one book is best that is Yogendra Bangar. Because with each topic they had mention relevant ITAT/HC/SC. case law
Further you dont have any standing to judge wither Vinod Gupta or Girish Ahuja both are genius in there own domain.

hey guyz! i m surprise hw one can confidently suggest one book is worthwhile whereas the another is not?? Every author has their own way to express the experties/knowledge. i m agree wid harsh that one's concern may different coz all five fingers are different in size but their importance can not be challenged. gist is judge by urself or only suggest bout the book but dun mention that other book/author is not good. i think v should respect the knowledge in all means.
Paduka has many errors... specially in dates in assessment procedures....again it is in question ans format....so not recommended if ur not comfortable with the subject... rest d book covers all d past questions...
Manoharan is all time fav amoung all d CA students... so its recommended...
Vinod Gupta modules r too good... specially for wealth tax and Assessment procedures... go for it...
