I made a mistake of Gender while E-filing a return. The assesse was female and through oversight while doing input the return I didnot change the Gender Male to Female. Her Total income was Rs. 2,00,767 and calculated her tax at 1,90,000 Slab, but due to Male Gender mentioned in E-return demand arrised Rs. 3180. Please advice me the procedure of rectification.

You have to file rectification request online and if you don't want to file rectification then pay tax as per demand raised.

Login using ur pan no and password.
Go to the my account tab at the top of your screen which appears after logging in
Select the rectification option and read the instructions on how to upload the rectified return carefully.
After that upload return .
