26AS Detalis of the TDS deducted in the year at Income Tax web site
so what the difference between form 16 and 26AS ?
From 16 is certificate issued to you by the employer under section 203 of the Income tax act 1961 for tax deducted at source form income chargeable under the head " Salaries " . Same TDS deducted and paid to GOVT by the employer will be reflected in 26AS for your cross vrification .
