A client wants to transfer the amount of Fixed Deposits from NRO to NRE account, so what should be category of Nature of Remittance in Form 15CA, and does he needs to deposit TDS on same before making the transfer.....

Nature /purpose of Remittance S-1301 Remittances by Non -residents towards family maintenance and savings .Remittances/transfers from NRO to NRE for purposes covered under specified list of 33 are not taxable.. Form 15CA Part A B and C are to be filled up when remittance are taxable and Part D when remittance is taxable and not covered under specified list of 33.
