Very true ....we appreciate women as wife, sister and mother and their sacrifices for their family....but sacrifice of a man is many times ignored...as a father, son and husband...Thank you Neha ji for the wonderful post....We celebrate womens day but never celebrate Mens day....which also should be celebrated.

Dear all,

I think Veeral ji has been misunderstood on most of the counts. I have provided his views on 'Men v/s Women'  from the post on CCI with the same name.

Following are his views :

"If men are an amazing piece of God’s creation, women are a beautiful piece of God’s creation. As per Shrimad Bhagwatam, Brahma divided himself in two parts to expand the creation. Since then, both parts are trying to unite with each other to become a whole. Krishna & Radha are one  (Shri Radha-krishna dev) but seem to be different. Shiva & Parvati are one (Shiva-Shakti) but seem to be different. Thus, this universe is made up of combination of male & female energy.

If you remove any one out of the two, the universe would be incomplete. Men are known for power, strength, high level of intelligence, courageousness, aggressiveness, resourcefulness, resilience etc.

Whereas, women are known for their beauty, fragility,  excellent communication skills, compassion etc. Because of presence of male and female energy, harmony is established in this world.

Despite saying all this, I would not say that women are on par with men. No, they are not equal. With due respect to  womenkind in general, despite of getting equal opportunities for growth, it is men who have remained ahead in all fields, be it religion, philosophy,  science, politics, commerce, arts etc. All the notable figures of these fields are men. Women are just handful.

In fact, men are leaders whereas women are followers by nature. Even in USA, which is known for egalitarianism, men are ahead in all fields.

This proves that men are intrinsically superior. But this does not mean that women are inferior. They are infact, subordinate to men. That is why in Ca club India, there are mostly male experts and they are the one who give reply to most of the queries."

P.S.: I know that these are the views which are rooted in his faith. He belongs to the Vaishnava Sampradaya of Hinduism. And most of the members may misunderstand his views. I know that he has respect towards Nehaji. Please do not misunderstand him.

To all the men of this world,

Greatness of a man is not due to sacrificing his valuable human birth for the sake of women.  Wasting youth for the sake of women and bodily relatives is not a sacrifice at all, but mere foolishness.

Let me tell you a story of a wise businessman.

Once upon a time a businessman, who was a devotee of Lord Vishnu was passing through a forest, where he sensed a very good fragrance of ‘bav’ sandalwood (‘bav’ chandan is a very high quality of sandalwood). He saw that it was being burnt by a woodcutter. Thinking the woodcutter as foolish to not know of value of this high quality of sandalwood, he told him to give the remaining to him rather than waste it unnecessarily. The woodcutter conceded his request. The businessman came to home and he daily offered it to Lord Vishnu, after making it’s paste. Then, at the end of his life, Lord Vishnu came to take his soul, to Vaikuntha dhama, in a heavenly aeroplane of Garuda.

Moral of the story : Human body, which we get after millions of birth is like a ‘bav’ sandalwood. It should not be unnecessarily wasted for the sake of women, bodily relatives and material pleasures. Even if you have wasted little bit till now, I request you to use it for Lord now.

At this time, I am remembered of a famous poem written by Adi Shankaracharya. This poem too gives the same message :

Seeing the full bosom of young maidens and their navel, do not fall a prey to maddening delusion. This is but a modification of flesh and fat. Think well thus in your mind again and again.   (3)

The water drop playing on a lotus petal has an extremely uncertain existence; so also is life ever unstable. Understand, the very world is consumed by disease and conceit, and is riddled with pangs.   (4)

As long as there is the ability to earn and save, so long are all your dependants attached to you. Later on, when you come tolive with an old, infirm body, no one at home cares to speak even a word with you!!   (5)

As long as there dwells breath in the body, so long they enquire of your welfare at home. Once the breath leaves, the body decays, even the wife fears that very same body.   (6)

So long as one is in one’s boyhood, one is attached to play, so long as one is in youth, one is attached to one’s own young woman; so long as one is in old age, one is attached to anxiety, yet no one, alas to the Supreme Brahman, is ever seen attached.   (7)

Who is your wife? Who is your son? Supremely wonderful indeed is this samsara. Of whom are you? From where have you come? O brother, think of that Truth here.  (8)

This truth is not only expounded by Hinduism but also by Jainism, of which Nehaji belongs to. So Nehaji, please do not misunderstand me. I have nothing against you. I am a spiritually inclined person. Whatever I say, it appeals to higher consciousness.

Veeral Gandhi

I strongly believe that men are naturally blessed superior human beings.

As righty said by the previous member, women are not inferior but they are always subordinate to mens, no mater whatever they achieve in life, they r next to mens.

Earlier days mens used to dominate womens. But today the situations are gradualy changing, its a very big setback for mens.

Women are now mastering the tricks ,hw to fool mens in a more than thousand way. The only our weakness which makes them powerful is s*x whicheveryone will accept.

Now a days boys should control their desire and lust strongly, otherwise we will become loser for life long and they will dominate us forever.

And behind every problem there will definetly be a woman, e.g, fights between two boys over a girl, etc.

My advice to Married men is wen in case of fight between ur wife and ur mom, then u shuld always take ur mom side, not wid ur wife side.

My adivice to those who r yet to marry/ or those who r in love, u must control ur gf, not other way round.

Now dayz galz cant be trusted so easily, they can backstab u at any time. we shud control them wid our iron hands.

We should be very careful, like we should constantly check thier every movement. in short v shud b auditor in our life too..always suspicious.

We shud chek thier mobile fone, social site account regularly.

..............................to be continued

Completely agreed. I really liked what you said, Hari. Although women have certain good qualities, they always remain petty minded. Whereas, men generally mind their own business. That is why they have always been achieving great heights in the field of spirituality, science, business, academics etc.

Girls may score high percentages in exams, but it is generally men who do well in practical aspects. They have guts, daring and courage to take on all harships of life, whereas, women break down. That is why men are usually associated with giant tasks.

I am not a votary of egalitarianism. Be realistic, there are certains limitations in women. They are not equal to men. Let feminists say what they want to.

I have always believed that a woman's real worth is her chastity, not her material progress.

I may appear very conservative but the truth is women should always be controlled by men otherwise they may stray away from the path of morality.

I really thank you Hari for having the courage to say the truth and adhering to traditional Indian values.

Regards,

Veeral Gandhi

Post Script : When I talk of 'Men', I talk of virtuous men not those who can not control their senses or are morally weak. Those who can not keep their senses under control are not real men.

But Mr. Gandhi ,

Is man – Born or made,

There are two things, We can't add Great along with Man , and say Great Man, because it will defeat the purpose of calling the man “The man”, word it self is so great that , the word Great seems too small to be added,

When you are good to all and follow righteousness for all, and worship the supreme being, and you are not coward, then naturally you are called a man, so man is quality and not some thing achieved merely by birth with some added anatomy, it is rather the state of being man,

Vaishnavism and Shaivism both worship Lakshmi with Vishnu and Parvati with Shiva respectively as beings on an equal level of magnitude (the male and female aspects of God). In some instances such as with Gaudiya Vaishnavism, specific emphasis is placed on the worship of God's female aspect (Radharani) even above that of her paramour Krishna. Thus it could be said that Hinduism considers God to have both male and female aspects, as the original source of both. - Wiki Project

But as per the translation of Manu Smriti

“Na stree swadantriya marhathi”. “No liberty for women in society”

Does not mean the bodily women with some anatomy, but the very sense of womeness, which can be present in men and women as well, because anatomically women are made such as to woo men for creation of newer generations, but it is only to take forward the presence of Mankind in the world and not for their personal gain, If men or women when they do it for personal gain then it is wrong that is the allegory of this sentence, we can't always read the scriptttt as such it may contain Bhav aarth, which may be different from Saapdh aarth.

vidyā-vinaya-sampanne

brāhmaṇe gavi hastini

śuni caiva śva-pāke ca

paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśinaḥ

Sama-darśinaḥ means equal vision. A learned brāhmaṇa, he is most intelligent man in the human society, and a dog... Superficially, externally, there is much difference. Here is a dog, a street dog, and here is a learned brāhmaṇa. But one who is paṇḍita, one who is Kṛṣṇa conscious, he sees that the paṇḍita and the dog, they are the same, because they are also the same spiritual spark. By his karma, he has become a learned paṇḍita, and by his karma, he has become a dog. But within the different body, dehino 'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṁ –

We can't always say our scripttttures are always right because, the date of our scripttttures are too nearer , then the birth of Mankind. Mankind was, is , will stay , what ever system of religion he follows.

Am being from the Place where Sita Mata was born it will be only wise thing to add on my part about a women after whom there is college in Delhi, many might not know about that :-

Gargi Vachaknavi, or Gargi, in Vedic literature, is honored as one of the great natural philosophers. She is mentioned in the Sixth and the Eighth Brahmana of Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, where the brahmayajna, a philosophic congress organized by King Janaka of Videha is described, she challenged the sage Yajnavalkya with perturbing questions on the atman (soul).

Gargi was named after the sage Garga, in whose lineage she was born; her last name comes from her father Vachaknu.

Gargi composed several hymns that questioned the origin of all existence. The Yoga Yajnavalkya, a classical text on Yoga is a dialogue between Gargi and sage Yajnavalkya. Gargi was one of the Navaratnas in the court of King Janaka of Mithila. She has composed several hymns and is an author of Gargi Samhita.

I highly appreciate your inclination towards Vaishnavism. But then you also consider Lakshmi and Vishnu as one and all, it is said Women were born out of men, So, both men and women are not complete without each-other,

And on personal note, I saw your profile , it was totally closed one, i.e. friend request can't be sent nor a PM, (I did not try either), I vouch when you (or will) say the Gyan comes from within, but society plays major roll in creation of enlightenment of soul, No Buddha can be born or enlightened with out society, It is only primary association with society does create a enlightened soul, so, if scripttttures says something and society says other in that case society prevails over, because all Vedas, Granthas, Upanishads, Smirits Sutras all are made or written or given to us , only to lead a good life, it is same as Acts and Rules and Regulations, for easy way of life,

No Vedas nor Purans can be supreme to god nor to his/her Children.

Proud to be Indian ,

Prouder to be Human,

But proudest to be alive, to see this wonderful world. - Eklavya

To all members, just getting laugh while going through the discussion, Do a small boy and girl before you playing together, does it shows any difference of ego? I would see my father in every man. Who protect me.

So a daughter is subbordinate ? Every one has  to control what ever(eg food, helping nature, anything), let it be girl or boy, men or women, too much is not good enough.

WEAK NESS IS A THING WHICH IS BURSTED WHEN WE DONT HAVE CONTROL, BOTH MAN AND WOMEN HAVE WEAKNESS

Dear Suryaji,

Although, there is oneness between Radha-Krishna, Shiva-Shakti ; there always remains a relationship of Bhagwan and Bhakta between the two Yugals. Radha and Parvatiji are ideal Bhakta of Krishna and Shiva respectively. They are not Bhagwan. The oneness between the Yugals is oneness of  qualities, not of body. When one becomes an ideal devotee, he attains qualities of God. But still, Bhagwan is Bhagwan and ideal Bhakta is ideal Bhakta. Millions of Bhaktas can not make one God.

And the divine Yugals can not be compared to ordinary man & women of this world, though some qualities of creator exists in them.

In Chapter 9, verse 32 of Bhagwad Gita, Lord Krishna has said

“O son of Prtha, those who take shelter in Me, though they be of lower birth—women, vaisyas [merchants] and sudras [workers]—can attain the supreme destination.”

So, from this shloka, can’t you understand the position of women in a Vedic society ? You are wise, so I leave this shloka for you to understand.

Manu Smriti has said, “Na stree swadantriya marhathi”, because, our society cares for women. Giving of too much freedom to women is not for their benefit. What will happen if a so called Independent woman goes alone at night in the streets of Delhi ? Will she come safe at home ?

And the interpretation of scriptttures be left to Satpurushas alone. Asatpurushas can only serve to common masses with impurity mixed in it.

And if you call yourself, a Hindu, then you need to have blind faith in the words of Vedas, as they have come from the mouth of God Himself. Since, Vedas have come from the mouth of God Himself, they are considered as Swarupa (form) of God Himself. No known Acharaya including Ramanujacharya or Shankaracharya has questioned the authority of Vedas, who are we ?

And Smritis  need to be interpreted as per the Yugas. In this Yuga, a wise Hindu should follow Yagnavalya Rishi’s Smriti.

Further, I know of Gargi’s eminent position in Upanishads. In the Upanishadic times, women had a right to wear a Janoi and sit in Yagyas and also had a right to enter into debate with men, but as Yugas passed, situation worsened and liberty of women was curbed. But it was for their own benefit !

And talking about my spiritual enlightenment, I am sure, I would not get it from associating with materially contaminated people. I am in this club to increase my material knowledge not spiritual knowledge. Only associating with a Satpurusha, will I attain spiritual knowledge.

Regards,

Veeral Gandhi
