Hello all, I have my final attempt is due on May 17 and would like to know how to self study AMA. I want to know the order of chapters that I should follow. Because usually the sequence given by ICAI is not very successful. Please help at the earliest.

There's a lot of time for you. But good that you have started looking at the subject.

I suggest start with simpler ones first. They will help you gain momentum.

For getting the right sequence (if ICAI module doesn't help) - check out B.Com Costing books for second and third year. And follow the sequence. Generally marginal costing, key factor, decision making, transfer pricing (these should fall in 3rd year course).

B.Com course should give you apt sequence.

thanks Rahul. Will have a look surely. And I've started early because "wars are won even before the fight has started"

Firstly ,

Start In the name of God Most Gracious and Most Merciful.

He who God Guides none can misguide him ,He God lets astray non can guide him.

AMA is divided into 3 sects - Marginnal/Relavant  costing ,Standard Costing,OR.

As you have Enough time Start up with Chapter Cost concepts in Decision making - its the base. You can study through Rest  of Costing After this, with first doing marginal Costing and decision making and all others Except for Standard costing and OR.

Do standard Costing.

Finally OR.

Good Luck.

Thanks a lot.. Will surely consider your views in my strategy.

You can start with OR/QT and mariginal costing and standard costing. This alone will get you considerable marks.. Then concentrate on other chapters like ABC

Sequence is not important at all, because after all you have to go through all the chapters. So dont give much time on thinking about sequence.
