Dear sir/madam
After registering for GST, can I claim GST exemption upto Rs. 20 lakh or should I start billing GST from Rs.1.

20 Lakh exemption provided to small business to avoid going through registration and compliance.
However, once you have registered, you will have to collect GST from Rupee 1
