EXEMPTION

Some of my friends say that icai has lifted the exemption of subjects in which students get 60 or above marks and that the student should write all the subjects of such group even though he gets 60 marks in one of the subject and fails in other subjects of that group.

Is that true ?

Does it apply to Nov 2008 examinations?

Can any one give a link regarding this information?

Thank u in advance.

I am not aware of any such news.

I had called the Exam helpline in October and they had assured me that I could skip any papers in which I had scored 60+. They will be carried over when the results are out in January .
