When I am using ITR 3 excel utility (latest downloaded) for filing business income tax return for the assessee, I am getting the following error as soon as I click the button "Save XML"
Can some body please help me with this error.

I have faced the same issue today on ITR-1. Since the X M L got generated, I tried uploading it, and the e filing portal says invalid X M L.
The above error was thrown, even though XML was generated. The generated XML is showing invalid, probably due to the process not getting completed due to the run time error in your screenshot.
However, I used the online upload option to make updates after capturing data in the excel template. Successfully able to file that way.
Can you please let me know how you solved this error ....I am getting the same issue. ..
