After pressing the validate and upload button, an error message is received "Revised Return u/s 20(4)(a) cannot be uploaded without original".
I called up the vat people too. They suggested me to redownload Form 231 but the same error perists!!!
The returns are on qarterly basis and form is 231.
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you filing form 231 for the first time than you have to select original . And if you revising this return than you select Revised Return u/s 20(4)(a).

From the error message, it seems you have not filed original return. So you can file this return as original & no need to file again as revised.
