In ITR2, go to schedule OS and expand last option and see you will find option for DIVIDEND 1(i) to enter quarterly dividend. Calculate qtr dividend from AIS.

You need to fill the dividend income received in the period in your bank account.. Total should match the amount in Dividend income in 1a(i).  Works fine.

Thanks! It worked for me.

Error : the quarterly break up of dividend income should be equal to [1a(i) less dtaa of 1a(i) subject to trc flag less system calculated value of  interest expenditure u/s 57(1) attributable to sl. no. 1a(i)]

-> The error message indicates that there's a requirement for the quarterly breakdown of dividend income to match a specific calculation. In simpler terms, the calculations related to your dividend income, deductions, and expenses need to balance out according to the mentioned conditions.

I am facing this issue now with the ITR (FY24-25). It appears to me that this particular error is a bug that appears every year. So, if we give the correct values in the dividend quarterly breakup and then press the Confirm button, it will accept and the Schedule will close/collapse. But, if you try going back in to check on the quarterly breakup again you will find that the full amount of the dividend has replaced the value in the first cell (i.e. upto 15/6). This, in my opinion is causing the error on the final verification process. I hope, like every year, someone on the other end is aware of this and gets to apply a permanent fix. Without this fix I can't submit my ITR.

BTW, where do you actually let these people know of this problem?
