Eligibility for registration for ca final

Hello! I've cleared IPCC group 1 just now! I'm thinking of starting my articleship in December, after appearing for IPCC Group 2. But, the challenge is that if i start my articleship from december, then my 2 and a half years of articleship will get completed by may 2014, then, can i appear for final examination in may 2014? Will i be allowed to register for the examination before may 2014? Please help. It would be great if anyone can provide me with the link to ICAI website where a circular for this is given. Thanks.
