I NOW ONLINE FILE E-FILING ITR - 1 UPLOAD  ASST. YEAR 2008-09                                     I KNOW SELECT FILE  ITR -1 

BUT, ERROR MSG. DISPLAY COMES ON   (PLS. SELECT XML FILE PROCESSING)

As per error you have to select related "xml file"

DEAR SANDEEP, I DOWNLOADED IT WEBSITE XML FILE THEN FILL COLUMN AND UPLOADED DISPLAY ON ERROR MSG.

Ok.

1.    Then log out fom site and re-login. Select the correct assesment year.

2.     Select the form which u want to up load and select no in next option of DIGITAL SIG..

3.     Now click submit. Then select your form and try to up load.

Firstly, u cannot file Return for A.Y. 2008-09 now, unless it is in pursuance with a notice u/s. 142(1) or 148.

Secondly, this type of error is possible if validation of xml file is not done using the latest schema provided by the Department. For this you can download the latest schema from efiling website itself or u can contact your software vendor.

Thirdly, this type of errors also occur without any valid reason, especially in case of efiling for any previous year other than the current previous year. I have faced this many times. If that is the case, I suggest u try to upload the return in off working hours - say in the morning. I dont have any logic for this, but it worked well for me......

I think you have downloaded Excel file and after filing all details in it you have to generate. After that such file converted into xml from xls and computer displyed path of that xml file. After that at the time of uploading ITR you have to get xml file instead of xls file for uploading.

As Mr. Sandeep Keswani says he is right it works working in off hours. But suddently one thing strikes in my mind that Are U Using The Right ItR-Form. I mean check that wheteher its for the same previous year (A.Y.-2011-12) or its for the year 2008-09, for which you are filing return.
