It's a pretty good book. Not many recommend it but you can check it out. But also go through Manoharan and then decide which you want. 

Choose between Vinod gupta and Girish ahuja for DT.

Direct tax book does not have the same kind of finesse which you find in Bangars indirect tax book. Language used in Girish Ahujas book is little complex in its first reading. T N M sir book is concise and smooth flowing. V G sirs modules are very time consuming and comprehensive. It is a good source for self studies where in you need to invest lot of time and have patience to complete it.
