How can you forget the name? Try and confirm the name from concerned person with correct spelling or with correct initials. There is no restriction regarding name. You can re-fill the name again and try. Good Luck. Views of other members solicited.

I know the maiden's name, but the point is I don't the name which was previously  entered by someone else.

If it is a case of Director, the name should be same as filed in DIN-1

Try Ekta. I am sure you will succeed. I have no idea about any other option.

How will I succeed Ankur!. The person who has entered the mother's maiden name when registering the  DSC  for the first time has already left the company. 

Now after the renewal of the DSC, I am not able to register it again. Besides, the DIN 1 dont  have any field for mother maiden's name.

I gave you wrong advice, as forgot the name of the form in which we write mother's name. you may try name in the passport.

I have a suggestion to update DSC with mother's maiden name.

In MCA Portal, we can attempt creating a NEW USER ID (Category : Business) and then registering the DSC afresh with proper mother's maiden name will be simple solution for the problem you mentioned.

no need to worry, simply fill the name that u knw treating it as a new registration, its not mandatory to fill the same name as filled earlier.

You can fill information as per din in case of director

all the information in din are same as  you can fill in the blanks

if you have not information about director name just fill your din no in FORM 32

 Once a DSC has already been registered with MCA, you can only update your DSC. For updation you have to enter the same details as given by you in the DIN 1 form. However the mother's maiden name is not given in the DIN 1 form. So there is nothing to trace out the mother's maiden name entered at the time of registration of the DSC.

its not mandatory to fill the same name, you may try with the proper name.
