which material and books or lectures should be referred for preparation of direct taxes CA final?

Go for CA Vinod Gupta sir's books. He is best.

I referred to that in Nov 16 bt could not cleared the attempt.

How was paper ?
Dii u compare yourself with suggested ?
I know score can't judge u.
But if u go through this u may get above 55 easily in DT as this is my personal experience. As u had read it just sometime back, this time try to cover whole PM, RTP, suggested of 4-5 attempts. This will surely help u.

my performance in paper was gud, compared to suggested answers expected marks were atleast 51 , I am not able to understand what they need in paper I presented well I written well , still confused that's why I am asking about material from which. can refer direct taxes

I guess you should place a request for getting certified copies, which will help you understand what went wrong/expectations of evaluator.
Since you have already studied from Vinod Gupta sirs book, I suggest you stick with it again.
For reference/help you can get Farooq Haque sirs DVD lectures. Surely it will add some value.

U apply for certified copies and compare with suggested. U will surely come to know about where are u lacking, and stick to VG sir's book, it will help u much, might be u need practice of writing answers or presentation or what go through it.

Self study is best for Direct tax laws. You need to refer a book that you can understand.

Girish Ahuja for direct tax laws is also a good option.

Well, if you have any good lecturers in your city and feel they are good, go for it.

But since you have already studied and pretty confident with the subject, I guess instead of wasting time and going for classes, it would be advisable to go for some online classes. In that way, you can study/watch videos of the chapters you have found tough/difficult and may be get a better understanding.

Yes Farooq sir lectures are helpfuly. You should check out the demo lectures and see if you like it before you buy it.

There are a few other online classes as well, do have a look.

refer TN Manoharan but make ur ownnotes for it so that one day before exam imp things u have in the form of ur notes. And PM of institute would suffice

For DT restrict yourself to study very selected areas & master them. Choose following combination & stick to it, study it with a trust into it.

Take a small sized book say

Vinod Gupta Sir's Summary or T N Manoharan Sir's Summary Plus
Practice Mannual Plus
Select Case Laws (Go for a Group Dicussion)
Supplimentery Study Materials

In addition to that have some writting practice, take out some short notes for revision.

I agree with anand... see the past weightage of topics and be thorough on thosr selected ones plus case laws... it has worked in case of dt for many...
