Law Entrance 2010

A lot of candidates have been asking us for details of Law Entrance Exams conducted by Delhi University. The information for Law Entrance Exam 2010 is provided below:

Application Form for LLB Entrance:

Available in February – March 2010

Date of Law Entrance Test:

March – April 2010

Result and Counseling:

May – June 2010

Centers for LL.B. Students:

DU Conducts classed for Law Students in three centers

  • DU Campus Law Centre
  • Law Centre I
  • Law Centre II

Number of LLB Seats in Delhi University:

There are 1500 Seats in Delhi University for LLB Admissions. The break up of seats for each center is:

1. Campus Law Centre – 500 Seats

2. Law Centre I – 600 Seats

3. Law Centre II – 400 Seats

Delhi University LLB Eligibility:

General / OBC Candidates:

Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.

However, the cut off marks for admission of OBC candidates shall be 10% less than the marks in the Entrance Test notified for general candidates.

SC / ST candidates:

Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree (no minimum marks)

The candidates securing marks prescribed above or appearing in the qualifying Degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LL.B. Entrance Test 2009 but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum eligibility marks prescribed above.

DU Entrance Test Pattern:

Duration: 2 Hours

Questions: 175

Marks: 175 x 4 (700)

Type: Objective-Type (Multiple choice answers)

Negative Marking:

1 Marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. No deduction for questions that are not attempted.

DU LLB Entrance Syllabus:

The LLB Entrance Exam will have questions based on these sections (All sections may not have equal number of questions).

It tests the ability to analyse written information, comprehending the main ideas and significant details and drawing inferences from the material presented and testing the general comprehension of language including grammar

Analytical Abilities (Reasoning), Legal Awareness and Aptitude test the ability to evaluate an assumption, inference or argument that is presented in a short statement and solving the legal problems; for testing general awareness aptitude about law and the legal system

It will test the candidate knowledge about happening around him/her. Covers more of current GK.
