Delay in registration of ipcc[direct entry]

Hii all,

    Now i'm pursuing my final year of B.com degree.I have submitted an application form for IPCC direct entry on 07/02/2015 along with DD of Rs.9000[with articles].Since two months from the date of submission there isn't any reply from the board.I have contacted them[SIRC ICAI Chennai]they said they can't check my application status because the SRO number is still not alloted for me.Is this delay is normal?What  should i do now?
