agree........

"disability" means -

  1. blindness;
  2. low vision;
  3. leprosy-cured;
  4. hearing impairment;
  5. locomotor disability;
  6. mental retardation;
  7. mental illness;

Hearing impairment  means loss of Sixty Decibles or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.

For claiming deduction A certificate in Form 10IA  from Medical Authority , in Government Hospital is required.

FORM NO. 10-IA
[See sub-rule (2) of rule 11A]
Certificate of the medical authority for certifying ‘person with disability’, ‘severe
disability’, ‘autism’, ‘cerebral palsy’ and ‘multiple disability’ for purposes of section
80DD and section 80U

Only Government Doctor's certificate is required in the form 10IA

Section 2(f) "person with disability" means a person suffering from not less than 40 % of any disability as certified by medical authority.

and "hearing impairment" is also covered with in the definition of disability

form 10 IA from medical authority
