debit note and credit note

plz suggest whether duty for issuing of debit note or credit note is only of supplier?

Generally credit note is issued by supplier seller to the recipient / purchaser informing him for deficiency in the value of goods or services supplied.
Similarly a Debit note is issued by recipient of goods & service's informing supplier that a debit has been made in his account for goods returned or unsatisfactory services.

sir..I think..Getting 3b is only for the purpose of net tax payment...in GSTR1 we can show debit note
For the net tax purpose u have to reverse the itc on purchase that u have taken and on returned as debit note in gstr 3b
read cont.

you have to reduced tax liability of debit note in gstr 3b or not ?
