Yes. It is absolutely true. But the new rules of CPT and its framework is still under consideration of Government. It needs approvals. So hoping those new rules would come into effect in the year 2011 CPT exams. If that happens, ICAI will issue notice in its website. So, lets wait and watch for the Notification.

yes it is true.  one has to secure 30 % in EACH SECTION to pass CPT

not in each paper as u said.

yes true...a welcome move by ICAI

Yes it is absolutely true. You must get 30% in each section. And an aggregate of 50% as usual. But this rule has not yet come into action. In the June 2011 exam it may come into practice.

but each section and each paper is the same thing naa...?????? plzzz hepl me out coz m an s.p. student......

each section and each paper is different. section means the four subs i.e law, acc, q.a and eco.. or in other words SEC A,B,C & D.. so in all it will work out like this:

Sec A (Accounts): 60 questions so minimum you have to get right answers for 18 questions.

Sec B (Law): 40 questions so minimum you have to get right answers for 12 questions.

Sec C (Eco): 50 questions so minimum 15 right answers are to be given.

Sec D (Q.A): 50 questions here also so here too 15 right answers are minimum.

If you find this info useful, "thank user"

P.S: but you still have to get 100 marks to be considered passed in CPT

whether CPT each subjects 30% or each subjects 30 marks i confused plz tell me
