Why COSTING is a CORE subject for CA students even though Chartered Accountants are not employed in this area???

Chartered Accountants are expected to have all round knowledge becuase some Ca's may get chance to work for manufacturing industries, at that time he/she should not blink! so costing is core subject next to financial reporting and taxation.enlightened

Costing is a very crucial subject...But sad to say only .01% of industries adopt costing in india...But in Most of the Foreign countries Costing is very vital & almost all 99% of industries Follow costing...

If u buy an indian authors book he will ve solved a 100 problems but just buy Hongrens book for Ca finals he has lifted practical insights from the industries...You will realize wat taste the sibject has got...
