Chartered Accountants are expected to have all round knowledge becuase some Ca's may get chance to work for manufacturing industries, at that time he/she should not blink! so costing is core subject next to financial reporting and taxation.

Costing is a very crucial subject...But sad to say only .01% of industries adopt costing in india...But in Most of the Foreign countries Costing is very vital & almost all 99% of industries Follow costing...
