hiii i am appearing for ca final november 2014 exams,i am ready to study 10 hours daily,so i am thinking to claim exemption in isca as time is very short,i have not studied of ca final before,i am new in ca final,i have purchased manish m. vallecha book...please tell me i think there is some problem with my strategy...in the first time study i go deep but upto the level which is required in exam but i just read, understand and LEARN points(make memory codes for points too) and LEARN definitions and LEARN some areas where i think its required and write down all necessary word meanings taken from dictionary in the book....please tell me do i have to learn each points, lines WORD by WORD then only icai will give marks,if yes what will happen if i write some words in question in my own way??if yes and but why icai wants answers in its own way??making things is the work of professionals i think....

In my opinion dont study ISCA for 10 hours a day as in the end you would remember nothing..... Go for studying 3-4 hours a day.... Suppose if u learn chapter 1 today, then on the next day first recall what u studied the last day and then go for the next chapter.... Revision is the key for ISCA.....

And you dont need to learn everything..... Just mug up the points given in Manish Valechcha through mnemonics given in the book..... In exam you can write the exact points and then explain in your own words....

And you seem to be very confused..... Stay calm and relaxed..... Patience has to your priority..... More you try to complicate things more difficult it would be for you.....

Good Luck.

Thank you for your advice Sourav sir.....!!!

ISCA frightens but need not worry, just on estimate of total ICAI material put 1 to 2 hrs per day that is sufficient.ISCA is really a great subject but you have to cultivate a devotion towards the subject. You will really enjoy the concept and damn sure you will get more than 60.

Isca is our future requirment. dont just mag up understand it. Otherwise solving case study in exam is difficult.

Mr Rahul I completely disagree with you..... If you see the last few examination question paper you will find that you dont even need to read the case..... U can simply read the questions and write the answer................

In a paper like isca you need to have strategy, here good strategy only works better. Refer everything but don't skeep any point while revision Memonics n point are the speed boosters in preparation, so ur on right track but simply getting sticked to this paper for a day is not a good strategy, I would suggest u that better u develop writing practice in isca as during examination this paper creates wonders sometimes, u may feel that u have read the topic but know as to how start with answers , n solve at least one mtp before appearing for main exam Good luck
