What is the rate of VAT on Food and How is it calculated ??

Is there any abatement on the value on which VAT is to be computed or is it charged on the full amount ??

PLEASE DIFINE YOUR FOOD ITEM.,

BUT FOOD ITEMS ARE GENERALLY IN 12.5% SALAB RATE OF VAT

Generally no abatement is allowed on sale of food. VAT is to be charged on the full value. Some star hotels charge for service etc which are not taxable with VAT........MJK
