what is the min and max no of directors in company

maximum 15 directors for both.
pvt - min is 2 director
pub co it's 3

but I've seen max directors above 15 in some companies
i think it happens in case a special resolution is passed by the company

MMM for OPC min is 1 and Max is 15(not sure)
a may appoint more than 15 director by passing special resolution in gm
who are independent directors then limit applies to these???
one third of total strength in case of listed co. and in case of other specified public co. 2

and what if total directors in a public listed company is 10
and what if total directors in a public listed company is 10
upper limit of 15 applicable to all co whether pvt or ltd. in case one third no is not in multiple of 3 than fraction should be considered 1 because sec 149(4) provided that listed co. shall have at least 1/3 dir. as ind dir.
1/3 still not clear incase total directors not absolutely divisible by 3
provision says that at least 1/3 it means it may be one third or more but in any case should not be less than 1/3.
so 10/3=3.33 i.e. 4 because if u rounded of as 3 than it does meet condition of at least onethird
