what is the min and max no of directors in company

maximum 15 directors for both.
pvt - min is 2 director
pub co it's 3

but I've seen max directors above 15 in some companies
i think it happens in case a special resolution is passed by the company

and what if total directors in a public listed company is 10

upper limit of 15 applicable to all co whether pvt or ltd. in case one third no is not in multiple of 3 than fraction should be considered 1 because sec 149(4) provided that listed co. shall have at least 1/3 dir. as ind dir.
1/3 still not clear incase total directors not absolutely divisible by 3
provision says that at least 1/3 it means it may be one third or more but in any case should not be less than 1/3.
so 10/3=3.33 i.e. 4 because if u rounded of as 3 than it does meet condition of at least onethird
