A' S SURNAME BEFORE MARRIAGE WAS GOEL AND AFTER MARRIAGE IT IS BANSAL. HER EMPLOYER ALSO ISSUE fORM 16 TO HER WITH SURNAME GOEL TILL DATE AS HER SURNAME IS GOEL IN OFFICE RECORD. BUT SHE GOT PAN CARD WITH SURNAME BANSAL . MY QUERY IS WHETHER SHE SHOULD FILE INCOME TAX RETURN WITH SURNAME GOEL OR BANSAL? OR SHE SHOULD GET THE PAN CARD CHANGED OR OFFICE RECORD CHANGED ? HOW IT CAN BE DONE ? THANX IN ADVANCE

dear sir...

as per my knowledge she should file return with surname Bansal as it is the surname in ITD records...

and get the surname changed in the office records... as surname in ITD records is correct ther is no need to change the PAN data..
