I just finished my twelfth and shall be giving the CPT this June...I wanted to know if it makes sense to do the CFA(US) after BCom(just in case I can't clear CA) as I have a great aptitude for Economics and Mathematics..also,is the CFA as lucrative a career option as CA,and if it's realistically possible for BCom grads to clear it?Thanks.

CFA can be done only post graduation. Ya, pursue it if you want to make a career in Equity Research, Portfolio Management, investment banking, Wealth Management, etc. It is a great career option because despite the poor economic conditions, CFA charter holders are placed well in industry and many CAs occupying top notch positions in Investment Banks hold a charter in CFA(US) also. Regarding clearing it, you said you have a passion for economics and mathematics, so i dont think nothing will stop you from clearing it. Just go for it after graduation..All the Best

It makes complete sense.... go ahead.... CFA is also a good course
