Capital gain tax saving bonds.

dear sir,

i have purchased a residential flat in the year 1997 for 4 lakhs. and i am going to sell the flat in the month of april 2012 at 19.00 lakhs. Right now i am not planning to purchase a new home or flat to save capital gain tax. So i am planning to take the bonds of the capital gain amount.

I want to know which bonds should i take that gives maximum interest?

What will be the return that i will get from that bond?

What will be the time for which i should keep the bonds?

Whether i will get the return monthly or annually or after maturity of the bonds?

thanks

Hi Vizen,

You can take REC Bonds. They  reap upto 8% after 5 years.

Interest on Bonds are received annually.

After Maturity, you will get principal amount + interest.
