If an assessee invest in Short term fund named as Axis Equity Fund - Dividened option and he shows the profit on Sale/Redemption as dividened from equity Is this treatment right?

No it cant be done. dividend & profit on sale are two different things.  Dividend is considered as a revenue income wihc you earn yearly, whereas profit on ssale of shares is considered as a capital profit whihc is a gain.  Gains & income are two differnt things.

Moreover dividend is exempt from tax in the hands of the shareholders.  So you cant show the profit on sale of shares as dividend.  Dividend is revenue income whereas profit on sale of shares is a capital profit.
