No if want not to claim HRA exemption he has only one option and that is to revise return under section 139(5) before end of relevant assessment year or completion of assessment whichever is earlier.
As you have claimed HRA in ITR1 and if you now want to cancel then you have to obviously file revised return. And it is advisable.
Claim of any wrong deductions (and thereby short payment of taxes ) have their own consequences.
