Can we carry forward Long Term Capital gain

Hello, Can we carry forward Long term Capital gains for the year through next year short term capital losses. I am anticipating short term capital gain losses in this fiscal year and want to adjust it against last fiscal capital gains. Pl suggest

Gains cannot be carried Forwarded. Only losses can be carried forward.

Gains cannot be carried forward . Tax has to be paid on long term capital gain

Capital gains not be carried forwarded.. Only losses to be carried forward.
